Day 99 Robe
Left KI through Penneshaw Pub to the ferry
although it appeared as if everyone else was doing the same thing! There were some really good roads today along the Fleurieu Peninsula. I’m sure they would be in the bible but can’t be bothered looking. Reminds me of when I couldn’t be bothered taking photos of the blackboys in WA 🙂
Caught another ferry across the mighty Murray River at Wellington. Just like being at home.
Rode a road around the Coorong and Lake Alexandrina and Lake Albert at Meningie.
Took the advice of a young fella I met on the ferry and headed to Robe for my layover. Interesting place, an obelisk, cray boats and a bit of history.
Rode up to the top of this silly lookout to see what I could see and I could see nothing so what do you call a lookout that doesn’t look out at anything??
Went back to Robe, found the shop and bought some bread/cheese for a meal and some longnecks to wash it all down. You wouldn’t be dead for quids.
I love beer and Chicken Twisties at the moment and as you can probably tell from the quality writing, these three are now empty!
Off to the Blue Lake at Mount Gambier tomorrow BUT lookout……………
