Packed up and headed out of Darwin, was becoming quite attached to my little room and the air-conditioning 🙂
I would visit Darwin again as I found it to quite a nice little city, more like a country town.
Travelled the Arnhem Highway past the big croc at Humpty Doo.
And the Post Code no less 🙂
Continued along until I entered Kakadu National Park that, interestingly, does NOT charge fees.
Booked in to Kakadu Lodge Caravan Park and set up my sad little tent. The poles keep breaking and they are getting shorter and shorter.
Have signed up for a tour to Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls tomorrow (4WD required)
Had quite a few beers and a steak at the poolside bar here while watching the footy, good to be talking to people again.
