Scrounger’s Solo Queensland Adventure

Rode to Ashmore, Qld to watch my son play for NSW Country Rugby. Left Thursday and headed north via Bucketts Way, Gloucester, Walcha – stopped at Armidale for night 1. Day 2 continued north via Guyra, Glen Innes – coffee at Tenterfield. From Tenterfield I turned east and aimed for Casino – that is an awesome ride! From Casino to Lismore, north to Bangalow then up the highway to Nerang exit & out to Ashmore. The return journey was broken up with a stop at relatives at Sandy Beach – including a pretty hairy & cold night ride from Ashmore to Grafton for coffee & then to Sandy Beach at 9.00pm. Final day was just straight down the highway – feeling pretty tired and over it, back home at 3.00pm Sunday.

  1. Well done Scrounger, I know what these big rides take out of you, especially when the weather is a bit ordinary. I am envious of the trip 🙂
